DW Black Badge kits have become some of the most well-known and sought-after kits DW have ever made. The black badge is a sign that these shells are made by Keller, and being dated March 19th 1997 are from a time before DW made their own shells and are often referred to as 'the best' sounding kits that DW ever made!
Perhaps one for the real DW enthusiast but this kit is undeniably cool, weirdly green isn't a colour a lot of manufacturers lean towards and looking at this kit, it's difficult to understand why. We all think this kit looks fantastic and gave us a fantastic opportunity to go all out when dressing it. The DW rata and concert toms were a must on this but unfortunately are not included in the shell pack...

It's worth mentioning in case you didn't spot them, the toms and snare on this kit are fitted with S-Hoops on the batter side, S-Hoops are the perfect cross between a triple flanged and a die-cast hoop, they employ characteristics from both to provide a unique hoop for your drum. Featuring an overlying edge which offers a smoother playing surface for side-stick and rim shots.
