GRETSCH 14" X 6.5" FULL RANGE SERIES HAMMERED BLACK STEEL SNARE DRUM WITH WOOD HOOPS

The Gretsch 14" x 6.5" Full Range Series Hammered Black Steel Snare Drum with Wood Hoops provides an unique take on our Hammered Steel Series. Gretsch have added Satin Black 13-ply Rock Maple hoops to this drum to give you a slightly different take on rim shots and cross sticks. The wood hoops also temper some of the inherent overtones to this drum, giving you a balanced blend of warmth, and projection.

The Gretsch 14" x 6.5" Full Range Series Hammered Black Steel Snare Drum with Wood Hoops is especially characterized by the 13-layer Wood Hoops made of Rock Maple. These give the hammered Black Steel shell an additional warm nuance and at the same time dampen the bright overtones for a round and crisp sound with a lot of dynamics. Especially rimshots on the Gretsch Full Range Snare sound wonderfully crisp and slightly warmer than on cast iron or steel hoops.
