Re-Issue of the Famous Phonic
Originally released in 1979 and produced until 1982, the wooden Sonor Phonic snare was available in two different models.
Featuring either a Rosewood Veneer or a Mahogany Veneer finish and available in a D-515 14” x 5.75” model or a D-516 14” x 6.5” model, both drums were constructed from beech wood.
A high-end snare designed to rival the high-end metal Sonor snares available at the time, the Sonor Phonic Mahogany delivered rich versatile tone filled with superb sensitivity and precise focus.
Now recreated to offer modern drummers a link to the classic of the past, this Re-Issue Phonic snare maintains much of the original styling to recapture the tone of the time.
