This flagship set combines Yamaha’s decades of acoustic drum innovation with cutting-edge digital technology, sampling, and connectivity.

A key highlight is the 17" PCY175 3-zone ride cymbal pad with positional sensing, offering incredibly realistic dynamics and nuanced expression—closely replicating the articulation of an acoustic ride cymbal. Powered by the advanced DTX-PROX module, the DTX10 delivers superior sound quality, ultra-responsive triggering, and extensive control options. With Bluetooth®, USB, and MIDI connectivity, it serves as a complete control center for studio, live, or hybrid setups.

The redesigned RS10-HXR Hexrack provides a strong yet lightweight L-shaped rack system, ideal for fast setup and flexibility. Its open-sided design allows for easy placement of hi-hat or double bass drum pedals, while fully adjustable arms accommodate right- and left-handed configurations.

Each pad in the DTX10K-M kit features custom Remo mesh heads for quiet operation and a natural stick rebound. The pads are built with real birch drum shells, finished in Yamaha’s elegant Black Forest or Real Wood lacquers, sharing the aesthetic of their high-end acoustic kits. The lugs and hoops are also borrowed from Yamaha’s acoustic series, ensuring top-tier quality and visual appeal.

The KP128 kick pad uses a 12" mesh head and multi-layer cushion for lifelike bass drum feel. Toms include two 10" rack pads and a 12" floor tom. Cymbals include 13" and 15" crash pads, along with the standout 17" ride cymbal pad, the largest ever from Yamaha. All cymbal pads feature 3 zones (edge, bow, bell) and support choke functionality—just like real cymbals.

DTX-PROX Module – Studio-Grade Control and Sound Customisation

At the core of the DTX10K-M is the DTX-PROX drum trigger module, offering ultra-high-definition sound and creative control. It includes over 700 factory sounds, captured in renowned studios with precise dynamics and natural room ambience. Players can also import up to 1,000 custom 24-bit WAV samples, making it easy to create a truly personalized electronic drum kit.

Every sound is fully editable, with tools like per-pad EQ, compression, and transient shaping. Outputs include 8 individual channels, stereo master, and USB audio, perfect for multitrack recording or flexible live setups.

Unique to the DTX-PROX module are Yamaha’s Kit Modifier knobs, designed for real-time sound shaping:

• Ambience – Blend in studio-recorded room tone or Yamaha’s reverb algorithms

• Compression – Instantly tighten or expand your kit dynamics

• Effect – Assign reverb, delay, and more to specific pads with detailed routing
